Job Description:
SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking an experienced Planner & Scheduler (Construction) to support a major oil and gas project in Cabinda, Angola. Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain the overall Project Scheduling Plan (CFAT)
• Build and manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and coding systems
• Define key milestones, critical paths, and performance indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure accurate scheduling aligned with project execution strategy

Coordination & Project Control:

• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Ensure alignment between contractors, supervisors, and project management
• Define roles and responsibilities for scheduling and progress tracking
• Support integration of planning data across multiple project disciplines

Tools & Systems Management:

• Implement and maintain scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Ensure proper system integration and accurate planning data management
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve scheduling systems and reporting accuracy
• Maintain consistency in project planning methodologies and tools

Resource & Cost Management:

• Develop resource-loaded schedules for manpower, equipment, and materials
• Monitor progress and identify delays or risks impacting delivery timelines
• Propose recovery plans and mitigation strategies when deviations occur
• Support cost tracking, forecasting, and budget control activities

Reporting & Performance Analysis:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Present scheduling updates to project stakeholders and management
• Track performance metrics and identify efficiency improvement opportunities
• Ensure accurate reporting of project progress and productivity levels

Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in risk assessment and project review meetings
• Contribute to lessons learned and process improvement initiatives
• Recommend enhancements to planning systems and scheduling methodologies
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects
• Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and project controls
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Knowledge of offshore and onshore construction execution processes
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and industry best practices
