Job Description:
KBR is currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support its Project Management Services for the Sonangol Lobito Refinery Project in Angola. Key Responsibilities:

Construction Progress Monitoring:

  • Measure and evaluate installed quantities against project plans
  • Track construction progress and validate contractor-reported data
  • Ensure alignment between actual execution and planned milestones
  • Support progress verification for EPC construction activities

Contract & Project Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements
  • Consolidate project data for reporting and analysis
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support governance and contract management processes

Reporting & Project Meetings:

  • Support weekly and monthly project progress meetings
  • Prepare inputs for Project Management Review (PMR) reports
  • Provide technical narratives and progress analysis
  • Assist in preparation of audit queries and documentation

Audit & Quality Control:

  • Perform field audits related to project progress
  • Ensure accuracy of quantity take-offs from engineering drawings
  • Validate contractor progress reports and documentation
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance in reporting

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers
  • Communicate project status updates and technical findings
  • Support decision-making through accurate financial and progress data
  • Maintain strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in construction progress measurement
  • Strong background in civil construction or EPC projects preferred
  • Ability to perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings
  • Experience in contract administration and progress validation
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and audit skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work on large-scale international infrastructure projects
