Job Overview

Arup Angola seeks a passionate Urban Sustainability Planner to lead projects in Huambo, focusing on integrating green infrastructure, renewable energy systems, and community-driven planning. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement urban sustainability strategies aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed infrastructure projects
  • Design climate-resilient urban layouts incorporating green spaces, renewable energy, and water conservation systems
  • Facilitate workshops with local communities to co-create inclusive urban development plans
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to update zoning regulations and building codes
  • Prepare technical reports, 3D models, and visualizations for project stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in urban planning, environmental sustainability, or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in GIS mapping, AutoCAD, and urban simulation software

Education
