Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical evaluations of renewable energy project sites
  • Develop feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hybrid energy systems
  • Coordinate with local governments, communities, and utility providers
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and environmental impact standards
  • Prepare project proposals and cost-benefit analyses
  • Provide technical training to local engineering teams

Required Skills

  • Expertise in renewable energy technologies and grid integration
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HOMER, RETScreen)
  • Strong project management and stakeholder negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in remote environments
  • Experience with Angolan energy regulations and permitting processes

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred in Energy Systems or Sustainable Development

Experience

  • Proven experience in Sub-Saharan Africa energy markets
  • Project management certification (PMP) advantageous

Salary

2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and project impact.
