Job Overview
This role is part of Siemens’ initiative to expand solar energy access in Angola. The position requires hands-on technical expertise to install and maintain photovoltaic systems in Lobito, a key hub for Angola’s energy transformation. Candidates will work on projects aligned with global sustainability goals while contributing to local economic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain solar panel systems, inverters, and battery storage units.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar system configurations.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure system efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and local regulations during installations.
- Provide training to local technicians on solar system maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in electrical systems and solar technology.
- Experience with solar panel installation tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in field conditions.
- Fluency in Portuguese and basic English communication skills.
- Valid electrical certification or equivalent.
