Job Overview

This role involves designing and implementing sustainable tourism strategies that align with global environmental standards while fostering economic growth in Menongue. The position requires collaboration with local stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners to ensure tourism initiatives benefit both the environment and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sustainable tourism projects that minimize environmental impact.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new tourism ventures, emphasizing eco-tourism and cultural heritage preservation.
  • Engage with local communities to identify opportunities for inclusive tourism development.
  • Monitor and report on the environmental and social performance of tourism operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into hotel operations and guest experiences.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in sustainable tourism frameworks and certification standards (e.g., LEED, Green Key).
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Knowledge of Angolan cultural and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools for impact assessment.
  • Bilingual fluency in Portuguese and English.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Environmental Science, or related field.

Salary

2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
