Job Overview

Schneider Electric Angola is seeking a Smart Manufacturing Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize industrial automation systems. This role integrates IoT, AI, and advanced robotics to enhance production efficiency in Angola’s manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop smart manufacturing system architectures using IoT and automation technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into production workflows.
  • Optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs through predictive maintenance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001).
  • Conduct feasibility studies for automation upgrades in existing manufacturing facilities.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation or smart manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, or similar) for automation control systems.
  • Knowledge of IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT) and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with robotics integration and SCADA systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field. Advanced certifications in AI/ML or IoT are preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of hands-on experience in smart manufacturing, automation systems, or industrial IoT implementation. Prior project management experience is a plus.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
