Job Overview

This role involves designing and developing interactive digital content for web, mobile, and social platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage multimedia tools to create compelling narratives that align with Reuters’ global standards while addressing local Angolan interests. The position is based in Menongue and reports directly to the Regional Digital Content Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce interactive media content (videos, infographics, animations) for digital platforms
  • Collaborate with journalists and editors to translate news stories into engaging multimedia formats
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in accessible formats
  • Optimize content for SEO and cross-platform compatibility
  • Conduct user testing to refine interactive experiences
  • Maintain content management systems and digital asset libraries

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator)
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for interactive web content
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling techniques
  • Ability to analyze audience engagement metrics
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
  • Knowledge of Angolan cultural and political landscape

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, Digital Communications, or related field

Experience

3-5 years in digital media production, preferably in news or journalism environments

Salary
