Job Overview
The Regional Merchandise Planner will be responsible for developing and executing assortment strategies for the Benguela region, ensuring optimal product mix, inventory levels, and profitability across all Shoprite stores. Key Responsibilities

- Maintain optimal inventory levels by forecasting demand and coordinating with the logistics team.
- Monitor product performance, conduct SKU rationalization, and recommend markdowns or promotions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, margin, and stock turnover for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate merchandising standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Support store managers with planogram implementation and visual merchandising guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar data tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in merchandising, data analytics, or supply‑chain management are considered a plus.
Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in merchandise planning, retail buying, or category management within a multi‑store environment. Experience in the Angolan or broader Southern African retail market is highly desirable.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total rewards structure.
