Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Analyst will support the end‑to‑end lifecycle of solar and wind projects in Cabinda and surrounding regions. Working closely with the Project Development team, the analyst will conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments to ensure projects are viable, cost‑effective and aligned with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical and economic feasibility analyses for new solar and wind projects.
- Develop detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, IRR and NPV calculations.
- Assess regulatory, environmental and grid integration requirements specific to Angola.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal and procurement teams to ensure alignment of project scopes.
- Monitor project performance against budgets and timelines, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Support the preparation of tender documents and participation in public and private bidding processes.
- Stay updated on market trends, policy changes and technological advancements in renewable energy.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI or similar tools.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, especially solar PV and on‑shore wind.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with Angolan energy regulations and permitting processes.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in renewable energy finance are advantageous.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience conducting project analysis, financial modeling or feasibility studies within the renewable energy sector. Experience working on projects in Africa or emerging markets is highly valued.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of 250,000 – 350,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based bonuses.
