Job Overview

The Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing security controls for Microsoft Azure services deployed across Angola. Reporting to the Cloud Security Lead, the engineer will ensure that all cloud workloads adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and Microsoft’s security standards. This role involves close collaboration with solution architects, developers, and operations teams to embed security into the DevOps pipeline, conduct risk assessments, and respond to emerging threats. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures for Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing on cloud workloads.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and local regulations.
• Automate security controls using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and lead remediation efforts in collaboration with the SOC.
• Provide security guidance and training to development and operations teams to promote a DevSecOps culture.
• Collaborate with Microsoft’s global security teams to stay updated on emerging threats and patches.
• Prepare detailed security reports and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in Azure security services (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Key Vault, RBAC).
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and zero‑trust architectures.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and automation frameworks.
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless functions.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, POPIA, and Angola’s data protection regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in cloud security will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience securing cloud environments, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Proven track record of implementing security controls in large‑scale, multi‑tenant deployments is essential.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of 250,000 to 400,000 Angolan Kwanza (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and stock‑option opportunities may be available.
