Job Overview
This role leads climate resilience initiatives in Dundo, Angola, focusing on community adaptation strategies, ecosystem protection, and sustainable resource management. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute climate resilience projects aligned with national environmental goals
- Conduct community needs assessments and climate risk analyses
- Coordinate with local governments and NGOs on sustainable land management
- Monitor and report on project outcomes using environmental impact metrics
- Design educational programs on climate adaptation for local populations
Required Skills
- Expertise in climate change mitigation strategies
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
- Fluency in Portuguese and local languages (preferred)
- Experience with Angolan environmental regulations and policies
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience
3-5 years in environmental project management, with a focus on climate resilience initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
