Job Overview

Stantec Angola is seeking a dynamic Urban Resilience and Disaster Risk Management Specialist to lead initiatives in Namibe. This role combines technical expertise with strategic planning to mitigate climate-related risks and enhance urban resilience. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct urban risk assessments and develop disaster resilience strategies
  • Design climate adaptation plans for coastal and urban infrastructure
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities on emergency response frameworks
  • Lead community engagement programs for disaster preparedness
  • Integrate GIS and data analytics for urban vulnerability mapping

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in urban planning software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with disaster risk assessment methodologies

  • Excellent communication for stakeholder coordination
  • Knowledge of Angolan urban development regulations

Education

Salary
