Job Overview

TransPerfect seeks a Digital Content Localization Specialist to lead the adaptation of digital assets for Angolan markets. This role combines linguistic expertise with technical skills to ensure content resonates culturally and linguistically with local audiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality localized content for websites, apps, and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate, adapt, and review digital content (websites, apps, social media) for Angolan Portuguese and regional dialects.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure localized content integrates seamlessly into digital platforms.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
  • Manage translation workflows using CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ).
  • Research and implement best practices for Angolan digital localization standards.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in Portuguese and Kikongo, Kimbundu, or other Angolan languages.
  • Proficiency in digital content localization tools and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances in Angolan digital ecosystems.
  • Experience with SEO and multilingual content optimization.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Certifications in localization (e.g., ProZ, ATA) preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in digital content localization or translation.
  • Proven experience in Angolan or African markets.

Salary

2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
