Job Overview

The Mine Geology Analyst will play a pivotal role in interpreting geological data, constructing 3D models, and providing actionable insights that guide drilling, resource estimation, and mine planning. Reporting to the Chief Geologist, the analyst will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mining engineers, environmental specialists, and data scientists, to ensure that exploration strategies align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and interpret geological data from drilling, sampling, and geophysical surveys.
  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D geological models using software such as Leapfrog, Surfer, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with mining engineers to integrate geological models into mine design and scheduling.
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Conduct mineral resource estimations in accordance with international reporting standards (JORC, NI 43‑101).
  • Support environmental impact assessments by providing accurate geological context.
  • Mentor junior geologists and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the department.

  • Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, Surfer).
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for data validation and interpretation.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSP, PGeo) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of relevant experience in geological analysis, preferably within the mining sector. Salary
