Job Overview

The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls for Microsoft Azure services deployed by clients in Angola and the broader Central African region. This role ensures that cloud infrastructures meet the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, aligning with both Microsoft’s security best practices and local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures for Azure workloads, including network security groups, firewalls, encryption, and identity management.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing on cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in line with ISO 27001, NIST, and Angolan data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and lead incident response activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare detailed security reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting risk posture and remediation plans.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve the security program.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure security services (Azure Sentinel, Azure Security Center, Azure AD, Key Vault).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and zero‑trust architectures.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Experience with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53, GDPR, Angola’s Lei de Proteção de Dados).
• Hands‑on experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive security mindset.
• Effective communication skills in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CCSP are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of professional experience in cloud security, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Azure platforms. Prior experience in a consulting or client‑facing role within the Angolan or broader African market is an advantage.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
