Job Overview
This role involves the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of advanced medical equipment in healthcare facilities across Mbanza Congo. The Biomedical Equipment Specialist will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure optimal performance of diagnostic and therapeutic devices, adhering to international safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment including MRI, CT scanners, and patient monitoring systems
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of medical devices in hospitals and clinics
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide technical training to healthcare staff on equipment operation and safety protocols
- Document service reports and maintain equipment performance records
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate new equipment technologies
Required Skills
- Technical proficiency in biomedical equipment repair and diagnostics
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex systems
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA medical device regulations
- Excellent communication for client-facing interactions
- Ability to work independently in remote healthcare facilities
- Fluency in Portuguese and basic English
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Certification in Medical Equipment Maintenance (optional but preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years in biomedical equipment services, preferably in hospital environments
- Experience with GE Healthcare equipment (MRI/CT) is a plus
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and technical expertise
