Job Overview
This role is part of a critical project to restore degraded coastal ecosystems along Angola’s Atlantic coastline. The specialist will lead field operations, coordinate with local stakeholders, and implement science-based restoration strategies to enhance marine biodiversity and protect coastal communities from climate impacts. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute coastal habitat restoration projects including mangrove reforestation and coral reef rehabilitation
- Conduct ecological assessments and monitor biodiversity metrics
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to government agencies and NGOs
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multi-disciplinary teams
li>Collaborate with local fishing communities to integrate traditional knowledge into conservation practices
Required Skills
- Expertise in coastal ecosystem dynamics and restoration techniques
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or related field. Advanced degrees in coastal engineering or ecological restoration are preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in coastal conservation projects, with a focus on ecosystem restoration. Previous work in West African marine environments is an asset.
Salary
5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
