Job Overview
The Compliance Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that BAI adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the incumbent will develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, conduct risk assessments, and provide guidance to business units. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures aligned with Angolan banking regulations and international best practices.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits across all business lines.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior management on necessary policy updates.
- Provide training and awareness programs for staff on compliance matters.
- Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, preparing detailed reports for regulators.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and audit teams to ensure integrated risk management.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and submit periodic reports to the Board of Directors.

- In-depth knowledge of Angolan banking laws, AML/CFT regulations, and international compliance standards.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) certifications are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within the banking or financial services industry. Experience with regulatory bodies in Angola, such as the Central Bank of Angola (BNA), is a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
