Job Description

KBR is seeking a Construction Manager with broad responsibility over technical staff on major projects (under 5 million construction work hours). The role involves coordination with engineering firms, preparation of executive reports, progress reporting systems, and client interface management.
The Construction Manager acts as the main communication channel with the contractor to ensure satisfactory completion of works and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review EPC contractor site development plans, logistics, temporary facilities, and subcontract strategies
- Evaluate construction execution plans, CMT organization, modularization scope, and site schedules
- Lead early contractor engagement and construction planning for EPC unit scopes
- Conduct risk analysis on schedule, cost, and execution methodology
- Monitor productivity and identify improvements using modern construction technologies
- Interface with PMC engineering team and client representatives
- Provide constructability input to engineering and design optimization
- Ensure alignment of engineering, procurement, and construction sequences
- Monitor notices, wayleaves, and procurement timelines for critical items
- Supervise material testing and maintain accurate records
- Ensure updated drawings and progress photographs are maintained
- Document contractual disputes and support future contract improvements
- Implement company Safety Policy and report hazards
- Ensure designs support safe construction methods, modularization, and reduced HSSE exposure
- Support constructability reviews and project execution planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of refinery ISBL and OSBL units
- Experience in EPC or PMT leadership roles
- Exposure to Pre-FEED and FEED phases
- Strong skills in project scheduling, risk analysis, and construction planning
