Job Purpose

The Crane Supervisor (Hydraulic Specialist) will oversee offshore crane maintenance activities, hydraulic systems performance, subcontractor coordination, spare parts management, troubleshooting, and operational improvements to ensure safe and efficient offshore lifting operations.

Key Job Responsibilities (JD)

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Offshore Crane Operations & Maintenance

  • Participate directly in offshore crane operations and maintenance activities
  • Plan and anticipate logistical requirements for smooth production and maintenance operations
  • Coordinate crane maintenance scheduling and operational readiness

Hydraulic Equipment Troubleshooting

Maintain and troubleshoot:

  • Hydraulic Power Units (HPU)
  • Hydraulic tanks and compressors
  • Hydraulic motors and cylinders
  • Solenoid valves and pressure limiters
  • Flow limiters and non-return valves
  • Crane hydraulic distribution systems

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

  • Supervise subcontractors and third-party maintenance providers
  • Coordinate troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance interventions
  • Support expenditure optimization for Level 4 and Level 5 maintenance activities

Equipment Reliability & Improvement

  • Analyze vendor repair reports and failure investigations
  • Recommend improvements to crane systems and offshore installations
  • Improve equipment availability, maintainability, and operational efficiency

Spare Parts & Stock Management

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and resupply thresholds
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and CMMS databases remain updated
  • Oversee paper and electronic equipment documentation

Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure maintenance follows approved operating procedures and offshore industry best practices
  • Monitor tool availability and recommend replacements where required
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and offshore coordination meetings
  • Propose procedural improvements to enhance safety and maintenance quality
