Job Overview
The Cultural Heritage Digital Storyteller will collaborate with Angolan historians, artists, and technologists to create engaging digital content that highlights Angola’s cultural legacy. This role combines creative storytelling with technical expertise to produce interactive media, virtual exhibitions, and educational resources that resonate with both local and international audiences. The position is ideal for candidates passionate about preserving cultural heritage through innovative digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop digital narratives that showcase Angolan cultural heritage through multimedia formats (video, audio, interactive web content).
- Collaborate with local cultural institutions to digitize and curate historical artifacts, oral histories, and traditional practices.
- Design and implement virtual exhibitions and augmented reality experiences that educate and engage users.
- Conduct field research to document Angolan cultural sites, traditions, and community stories.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate digital storytelling into Google’s global cultural platforms.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital storytelling tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Unity).
- Experience with cultural heritage documentation and preservation techniques.
- Strong understanding of Angolan history, traditions, and cultural practices.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Cultural Heritage, Anthropology, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in digital content creation, cultural heritage, or media production.
- Portfolio demonstrating digital storytelling projects related to cultural or historical themes.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
