Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain server, storage, and networking equipment to ensure 99.9% availability.
  • Perform routine health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement optimization strategies.
  • Coordinate with security teams to enforce compliance with data protection standards.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for incident response.
  • Manage capacity planning and resource allocation to support growth.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware troubleshooting and warranty claims.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
  • Ability to script in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Portuguese is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Server+ are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Experience
