Job Overview
As a Digital Accessibility Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring digital products and services comply with international accessibility standards. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about leveraging technology to create inclusive experiences for all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of websites, mobile apps, and software platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into product development cycles.
- Develop and implement accessibility guidelines aligned with WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to developers on inclusive design practices.
- Conduct user testing with individuals with disabilities to identify barriers and improve usability.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in digital accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, EN 301 549).
- Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, JAWS).
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for accessibility implementation.
- Experience in creating and maintaining accessibility documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to advocate for inclusive design principles.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) or equivalent.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in digital accessibility consulting or similar roles.
- Experience working on projects for public sector or large enterprise clients.
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
