Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify high‑potential locations for new Carrefour stores in Benguela and neighboring municipalities.
  • Develop detailed financial models, including revenue forecasts, CAPEX, OPEX, and ROI calculations, to support investment decisions.
  • Coordinate site acquisition processes, including negotiations with landlords, local authorities, and real estate agents.
  • Collaborate with the Architecture & Design, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure seamless store rollout from concept to opening.
  • Prepare and present business cases and expansion proposals to senior leadership and regional stakeholders.
  • Monitor post‑opening performance metrics and recommend optimization strategies to improve sales and profitability.
  • Stay abreast of retail trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the Angolan market.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
  • Project management experience, including timeline development and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, supply chain logistics, and consumer behavior in emerging markets.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP) are considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in retail expansion, market analysis, or business development, preferably within a multinational retail chain or fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. Demonstrated success in launching new stores or managing large‑scale projects is essential.

Salary
