Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Finance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and monitoring financial transactions that support renewable energy projects throughout Angola. Reporting to the Head of Sustainable Finance, the analyst will collaborate with project developers, legal teams, and external investors to ensure robust financial modeling, risk assessment, and compliance with both local regulations and international standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hydro power projects, incorporating cash flow projections, debt service coverage ratios, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, including due diligence on project sponsors, off‑take agreements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, pitch books, and presentation materials for internal committees and external investors.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all financing structures meet local banking regulations and international ESG standards.
  • Monitor ongoing project performance, track key financial metrics, and prepare periodic reporting for senior management.
  • Assist in the negotiation of loan terms, covenants, and security arrangements with counterparties.
  • Support the development of new green financing products and contribute to the bank’s sustainability strategy.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, preferably using Excel and VBA.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy market dynamics, policy incentives, and project development cycles.

Education
