Scaffolding Representative M/F Jobs in Cabinda
SPIE Global Services Energy is expanding its operational workforce and seeking a dedicated Scaffolding Representative to supervise field scaffolding execution while ensuring quality, productivity, and workplace safety standards are consistently maintained.
This role requires professionals who can effectively coordinate scaffold erection, scaffold dismantling, inspection compliance, manpower planning, contractor monitoring, hazard assessment, industrial site safety, and maintenance execution.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a Scaffolding Representative M/F, your duties will include:
Scaffolding Operations Supervision
- Oversee daily scaffolding erection, modification, maintenance, and dismantling activities.
- Ensure all scaffold structures comply with engineering design and workplace safety requirements.
- Supervise field execution to maintain operational efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure scaffold structures are properly installed and dismantled according to approved procedures.
Safety Inspection & Compliance
- Conduct routine scaffold safety inspections to ensure compliance with industrial standards.
- Verify proper scaffold tagging systems:
- Green Tags: Completed scaffolds with correct Work Order (WO) numbers.
- Red Tags: Incomplete or modified scaffolds requiring attention.
- Ensure all safety documentation and work permits are in place before activities begin.
- Identify workplace hazards and enforce safety procedures in accordance with Chevron safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Contractor & Workforce Management
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Verify that qualified personnel are assigned to scaffold-related work.
- Track installation Personnel on Board (POB) and workforce productivity.
- Coordinate with supervisors and project stakeholders to improve work execution.

Productivity Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor daily time-on-tools performance using IOC systems such as SASBU IODSC tools.
- Compare installation durations against estimated timelines and job card expectations.
- Identify project bottlenecks and recommend operational improvements.
- Track scaffold tonnage and square meterage erected.
- Support and drive scaffold dismantling campaigns efficiently.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the Scaffolding Coordinator.
- Sign and validate daily timesheets, including:
- Work Orders (WO)
- Man-hours
- Task descriptions
- Maintain accurate reporting of field activities and productivity metrics.
Field Presence Requirements
- Spend approximately:
- 90% of working time in the field
- 10% in office reporting and documentation
Educational Requirements
Applicants should preferably possess:
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Construction Management
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Industrial Maintenance
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Or related technical disciplines
Equivalent technical experience in industrial scaffolding, oil & gas maintenance, construction supervision, or heavy industrial environments may also be considered.
Certification Requirements
Candidates must hold valid certifications issued by accredited organizations, including:
- Scaffolding Erector Level 1, 2 & 3
- Work at Heights Certification
- Base Scaffolding Inspector Certification
- OSHA – Safe Scaffold Erection & Inspection (#773916)
- OSHA – Scaffold Safety Program Management (#773916)
Candidates with additional HSE certifications, confined space training, risk assessment training, industrial safety certifications, and offshore safety qualifications will have an advantage.
Experience Requirements
Ideal applicants should have:
- Proven 2 years experience in scaffolding supervision or scaffolding coordination.
- Experience within oil & gas, energy, industrial maintenance, shutdown projects, refinery operations, or construction environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Scaffold inspection procedures
- Safety tagging protocols
- Productivity monitoring
- Workforce planning
- Contractor performance management
- Experience managing field-based teams in high-risk industrial environments.
