Job Overview

The Strategic Business Development Manager will lead the identification, evaluation and execution of new business opportunities that expand Shell’s portfolio in Angola. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities in the oil & gas sector.
• Develop and present strategic business proposals to senior executives and potential partners.
• Lead negotiations and secure contracts that align with Shell’s growth objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance and legal teams to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
• Prepare detailed financial models and risk assessments for new projects.
• Represent Shell at industry conferences, forums and stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five years of proven experience in business development, strategic planning or commercial roles within the oil & gas industry, preferably with exposure to the Angolan market.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 SSP per month, reflecting the seniority of the role and market benchmarks for Angola Jobs.
