Job Overview
We are seeking a Subsea Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our team in Luanda. You will ensure the structural integrity, safety, and performance of our subsea pipeline network. You will play a critical part in risk assessment, inspection planning, and mitigation strategies to prevent failures. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement subsea pipeline integrity management programs and inspection plans.
- Analyze inspection data, including intelligent pigging, ROV surveys, and cathodic protection measurements, to assess pipeline condition.
- Perform engineering assessments, including fitness-for-service (FFS) and remaining life calculations, in accordance with international standards.
- Identify potential degradation mechanisms, such as corrosion, fatigue, and geohazards, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with offshore operations and maintenance teams to coordinate inspection campaigns and repair activities.
- Lead incident investigations related to pipeline integrity and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of subsea pipeline design, construction, operation, and integrity management principles.
- Proficiency in pipeline integrity assessment software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards, such as DNV-ST-F101, ASME B31.8, and API 1111.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Portuguese is highly advantageous.
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive engineering experience in subsea pipeline integrity, offshore operations, or subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry is required. Proven experience in managing complex inspection campaigns and analyzing subsea data is highly desirable.
