Job Overview

The Sustainable Agronomy Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of sustainable farming programs that supply high‑quality raw materials for our beverage production. Reporting to the Regional Director of Agronomy, you will collaborate with local farmers, research institutions, and government agencies to promote best practices in soil health, water management, and crop diversification. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainable agronomy strategies that increase yield while reducing environmental impact.
• Partner with local farmer cooperatives to provide training, resources, and technical support.

• Coordinate with the Procurement team to align crop production with corporate sourcing requirements.
• Lead research projects in collaboration with universities and NGOs to innovate farming practices.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local agricultural regulations and international sustainability certifications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of sustainable farming techniques, crop rotation, and integrated pest management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and agronomy software platforms.
• Project management experience with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.
• Ability to travel frequently across rural regions of Angola.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Crop Adviser) will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of progressive experience in agronomy, sustainable agriculture, or a similar field, preferably within a multinational corporation or large‑scale farming operation. Experience working in Angola or other Sub‑Saharan African markets is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 Angolan Kwanza (SSP) annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and cost‑of‑living adjustments.
