Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments for proposed infrastructure projects
- Prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions to Angolan environmental authorities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability into project planning
- Monitor and evaluate post-construction environmental performance
- Develop mitigation plans to minimize ecological disruption
- Engage with local communities to address environmental concerns
Required Skills
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
- Strong knowledge of Angolan environmental legislation
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to conduct field surveys in remote locations
- Experience with environmental monitoring software
- Bilingual (Portuguese and English) preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s) in environmental management are advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in environmental impact assessment projects, preferably in Angola or neighboring regions. Experience with mining or energy sector projects is a plus.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
