Job Overview

Arup Angola is seeking a Digital Twin Engineer for Smart Cities to design, develop, and implement digital twin models for urban infrastructure projects. This role is pivotal in advancing smart city initiatives in Benguela, leveraging data-driven simulations to improve urban planning, energy efficiency, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain digital twin models for urban infrastructure (transport, utilities, buildings).
  • Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and engineers to integrate digital twin solutions into project workflows.
  • Analyze real-time data from IoT sensors to optimize urban systems and predict maintenance needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in digital twin and smart city frameworks.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in digital twin software (e.g., Siemens Xcelerator, Bentley iTwin).
  • Experience with urban planning tools (GIS, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong data analysis skills using Python or R.
  • Knowledge of IoT and smart city technologies.
  • Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration abilities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Salary

2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
