Job Overview
The Advanced Robotics Integration Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of robotic systems within GE Angola’s manufacturing lines. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission industrial robotic cells for assembly, welding, and material handling.
- Develop and maintain integration scripts using ROS, PLC ladder logic, and proprietary GE control platforms.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure system compatibility and safety compliance.
- Conduct performance testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve target OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for robotic systems during pilot runs and full‑scale production.
- Document system architecture, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures in line with GE’s quality standards.
- Train on‑site technicians and operators on safe robot operation and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in robot programming languages (e.g., RAPID, KRL, URScript).
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
- Experience with vision systems, force‑torque sensors, and AI‑based quality inspection.
- Solid understanding of safety standards (ISO 10218, IEC 61508) and risk assessment.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision making.
- Effective communication skills in Portuguese and English.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Robotics Engineer (CRE) are highly regarded.
