Job Overview

The Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping Unilever Angola’s environmental strategy, supporting the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives that align with both global corporate goals and local regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting ESG data, conducting life‑cycle assessments, and identifying opportunities for resource efficiency across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze ESG data from internal systems and external sources to produce monthly and quarterly sustainability reports.
• Conduct life‑cycle assessments (LCAs) for key product lines to identify carbon hotspots and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support the development of sustainability KPIs and integrate them into the performance management framework.
• Collaborate with Procurement to evaluate suppliers based on environmental criteria and promote greener sourcing.
• Assist in the preparation of disclosures for global reporting standards such as GRI, SASB, and CDP.
• Monitor compliance with Angolan environmental regulations and ensure alignment with Unilever’s internal policies.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to raise awareness of sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare presentations and communication materials for senior leadership and external partners.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, and environmental regulations in Angola.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management experience with a track record of delivering results on time.
• Passion for sustainability and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as LEED, GRI, or ESG Analyst credentials are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in sustainability analysis, ESG reporting, or environmental management within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment. Experience working in Angola or other emerging markets is a plus, as is familiarity with local environmental legislation and stakeholder expectations.

Salary
