Job Overview
The Solar Project Development Engineer will lead the end‑to‑end development of utility‑scale solar farms across Angola, from site identification to commissioning. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, resource assessments, and grid integration analyses for solar projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate land acquisition, permitting, and stakeholder engagement with local authorities, communities, and partners.
- Lead the design and engineering of PV systems, including layout, electrical design, and performance modeling.
- Manage procurement processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for equipment and services.
- Oversee construction supervision, quality assurance, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project performance, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technology, grid codes, and renewable energy regulations in Angola.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera) and engineering tools (PVsyst, AutoCAD, PowerWorld).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with government agencies, contractors, and community leaders.
- Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency is highly desirable.
Education
