Key Responsibilities

• Analyze network performance metrics, including throughput, latency, and handover success rates, to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement optimization plans for radio access networks (RAN) and core network elements, ensuring compliance with Huawei standards.
• Collaborate with field engineers, RF planners, and vendor partners to validate optimization recommendations through drive tests and simulations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, cost‑benefit analyses, and implementation timelines.
• Monitor post‑implementation performance to verify the effectiveness of optimization actions and adjust strategies as needed.
• Support the rollout of 5G NR (New Radio) sites by providing data‑driven insights on site selection, antenna configuration, and interference mitigation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to network optimization.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams focused on network expansion, quality assurance, and customer experience improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in network performance tools such as NetAct, iPerf, and TEMS.
• Hands‑on experience with LTE and 5G network parameters, KPI analysis, and radio planning concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is highly desirable.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for data automation and analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing Angolan telecommunications.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Huawei Certified Network Professional, Cisco CCNP) will be given preference.

Experience

Salary
