Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks for IBM Angola’s clients and internal systems. This position requires a proactive approach to threat detection, incident response, and security policy development. Candidates will contribute to Angola’s growing demand for secure digital environments while leveraging IBM’s global cybersecurity expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats using advanced tools like IBM QRadar and SIEM systems.
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans aligned with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees and clients.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security enhancements.

Required Skills

  • Certifications in CISSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Kali Linux).
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure) and encryption protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills for threat intelligence and forensic investigations.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English with excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of Angolan cybersecurity regulations and compliance frameworks.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are a plus.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, or IT security management. Experience in the Angolan market or multinational technology environments is preferred.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
