Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats targeting Microsoft’s customers and internal assets in Angola. You will work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response teams, and regional partners to provide actionable intelligence that enhances the organization’s defensive posture. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate cyber threat intelligence from open‑source, commercial, and internal feeds.
- Develop and maintain threat models, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and attack patterns relevant to the Angolan threat landscape.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts to prioritize alerts and provide context for ongoing investigations.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly intelligence reports for senior leadership, customers, and partner organizations.
- Conduct threat hunting exercises and proactive assessments to uncover hidden adversaries.
- Engage with regional ISPs, government agencies, and industry groups to share intelligence and improve collective defense.
- Support incident response teams by supplying timely intelligence during active breaches.
- Continuously monitor emerging technologies, threat actors, and geopolitical developments that may impact Angola’s cyber environment.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in threat intelligence platforms (e.g., ThreatConnect, MISP).
- Proficiency in malware analysis, reverse engineering, and network traffic inspection.
- Knowledge of ATT&CK framework, MITRE tactics, and common adversary techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional security team.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts, especially Microsoft Azure services.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or GCTI is highly desirable.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a master’s degree or specialized certifications in threat intelligence, digital forensics, or information security will be given preference.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in threat intelligence, cyber threat analysis, or incident response within a corporate or government environment. Experience working with multinational technology firms or in the African cybersecurity ecosystem is advantageous.
Salary
