Job Overview
The Enterprise Cloud Solutions Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud architectures for Huawei’s enterprise clientele in Angola. This position requires a deep understanding of hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, as well as the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions. The architect will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of services, while maintaining alignment with Huawei’s global standards and local regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in driving Huawei’s cloud adoption strategy, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and delivering measurable business value to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect end‑to‑end cloud solutions that meet client business objectives, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Lead technical workshops and proof‑of‑concept (PoC) engagements with enterprise customers to demonstrate solution value.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop compelling technical proposals, cost estimates, and solution roadmaps.
- Provide guidance on cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, and execution phases.
- Ensure compliance with local data protection regulations and Huawei’s internal security policies.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to maintain a leading edge.
- Participate in the development of Huawei’s cloud service portfolio tailored to the Angolan market.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑services architecture.
- Expertise in networking, security, and storage solutions within cloud environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Effective communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Huawei Certified Cloud Architect (HCIA‑Cloud), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
Experience
Candidates must have 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions, with a track record of successful large‑scale implementations. Experience in the African market, particularly Angola, will be considered an advantage.
