Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to analyze marine organisms for biotechnological applications
- Develop protocols for sustainable marine sample collection and laboratory analysis
- Collaborate with local and international teams on bioactive compound discovery
- Prepare scientific reports and publications for industry journals
- Ensure compliance with Angolan environmental regulations and international research standards
Required Skills
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics tools
- Proficiency in marine ecosystem analysis and biodiversity assessment
- Strong data interpretation and analytical skills
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Experience with laboratory equipment and field research methodologies
Education
- Master’s or PhD in Marine Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Preferred certifications: Marine Research Safety (MRS), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Experience
- 3-5 years in marine biotechnology research or environmental R&D
- Proven track record in academic or industrial research projects
- Experience working in Angolan or African marine ecosystems is advantageous
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
