Job Overview

Stantec Angola is seeking a Smart Urban Mobility Analyst to lead the design and implementation of data-driven transportation solutions in Cahama. This role will integrate smart technologies with urban planning to optimize traffic flow, reduce emissions, and enhance public transit accessibility. The ideal candidate will collaborate with municipal authorities, technology partners, and community stakeholders to deliver innovative mobility systems aligned with Angola’s urban development goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct urban mobility audits and traffic pattern analyses using GIS and AI tools
• Design smart traffic management systems incorporating IoT sensors and real-time data
• Develop sustainable public transit routes and multimodal connectivity solutions
• Collaborate with local governments to align projects with national infrastructure policies
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies

Required Skills

• Expertise in urban mobility modeling software (e.g., PTV Vissim, TransCAD)
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and visualization
• Knowledge of smart city technologies and IoT integration
• Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration experience
• Fluency in Portuguese and English

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred but not required

Experience

• 3-5 years in urban mobility, transportation planning, or smart infrastructure projects
• Proven experience with Angolan urban development initiatives

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
