Job Overview

The Sustainable Food Systems Analyst will work in Kuito, Angola, to develop strategies that align food production with ecological sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct lifecycle assessments of food production processes to identify sustainability improvements
- Develop and implement circular economy models for agricultural waste reduction
- Collaborate with local farmers to promote regenerative farming practices
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for sustainable food innovation
- Prepare reports for stakeholders on food system performance metrics
Required Skills
- Expertise in food systems modeling and sustainability metrics
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R, or Tableau)
- Knowledge of circular economy principles
- Strong project management capabilities
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Economics, Food Systems, or related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in sustainability or food science are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in sustainable food systems analysis, agricultural sustainability, or environmental consulting. Experience working in emerging markets preferred.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
