Job Overview
The Telecommunications Network Architect will lead the design, planning, and deployment of advanced network solutions for Huawei’s Angolan clients. This role involves translating business requirements into robust technical architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive network architecture designs for 4G/5G, fiber, and fixed‑line solutions tailored to client needs.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance.
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate Huawei’s latest technologies, such as CloudCore and AI‑driven network management.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and field teams during implementation phases.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and Huawei’s security protocols.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, proposals, and cost estimates for client presentations.
- Participate in pre‑sales activities, including solution workshops and proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in telecom network design, including radio access networks (RAN), core networks, and transport layers.
- Proficiency with network planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or similar.
- Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, SDN, NFV, and emerging 5G technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
- Project management experience with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Huawei Certified Network Professional) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must have at least eight years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying large‑scale telecom networks, preferably within the African market. Experience with 5G rollout projects, carrier‑grade solutions, and collaboration with regulatory bodies will be valued.
Salary
The competitive compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
