Job Overview
The Urban Water Infrastructure Specialist will design, manage, and optimize water distribution systems in rapidly urbanizing regions of Angola. This role is critical for aligning water infrastructure with urban development goals while addressing climate resilience challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop integrated water supply and drainage systems for urban expansion projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new water infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to align water management with urban planning policies.
- Implement climate-adaptive water infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor and report on water quality and system efficiency.
Required Skills
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM).
- Strong understanding of Angolan water regulations and urban development frameworks.
- Proficiency in GIS mapping for infrastructure planning.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in urban water infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in cross-sectoral collaboration with government and private entities.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
