Job Overview

The Data Center Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of Huawei’s flagship data center in Benguela, overseeing a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of critical IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Benguela data center, ensuring 99.9% uptime and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to accommodate growth in data traffic and storage needs.
• Implement and monitor robust security protocols, including physical security, access controls, and cybersecurity measures.
• Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for outages, coordinating with engineering teams to resolve issues swiftly.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and ensure timely delivery of hardware and maintenance services.
• Drive energy‑efficiency initiatives, optimizing cooling systems and power usage effectiveness (PUE).
• Prepare detailed operational reports, KPI dashboards, and SLA compliance documentation for senior management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as DCIM, Nagios, or Zabbix.
