Job Overview

The Agricultural Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain activities for Cargill’s agricultural portfolio in the Namibe region. This includes planning, procurement, transportation, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods. The manager will collaborate with local farmers, port authorities, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations, cost efficiency, and compliance with international quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with Cargill’s global standards and local market dynamics.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of inputs and finished products.
  • Manage relationships with local growers, transport providers, and port operators to optimize lead times and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement replenishment plans to avoid stockouts or excess.
  • Ensure compliance with Angolan regulations, customs procedures, and Cargill’s sustainability policies.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and generate reports for senior management.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of analysts, coordinators, and field staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of agricultural commodity markets, especially in West and Central Africa.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional local language skills are a plus.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Education

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP or CPIM are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the agricultural sector. Experience working in Angola or similar emerging markets is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
