The Industrial Robotics Engineer will design, integrate, and optimize robotic systems for Siemens’ manufacturing clients in Angola. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robotic cell layouts, end‑effectors, and control architectures tailored to client specifications.
- Conduct feasibility analyses, risk assessments, and cost‑benefit studies for automation projects.
- Program and configure industrial robots using languages such as RAPID, KRL, or URScript.
- Integrate vision systems, sensors, and safety devices to ensure reliable and safe operation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create seamless system integration.
- Lead on‑site installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of robotic solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to client personnel during handover and post‑implementation phases.
- Develop documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging robotics technologies and propose innovative improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in robot programming and simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, Siemens NX, or similar).
- Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
- Experience with PLC integration, industrial networking, and communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Profinet).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Problem‑solving mindset with excellent analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills in English; Portuguese is a plus.
- Project management capabilities and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Commitment to safety standards and best practices in automation.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in robotics, automation, or industrial engineering are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing, programming, and deploying industrial robotic systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Siemens automation products or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
