We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our maritime transport operations in Luanda. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor vessel arrivals, departures, and port operations to ensure timely cargo handling.
- Liaise with port authorities, customs officials, and terminal operators to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
- Manage and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs declarations.
- Optimize container allocation and vessel space utilization in collaboration with planning teams.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vessel turnaround times and operational costs.
- Resolve any operational disruptions or delays promptly to minimize impact on supply chain schedules.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of maritime logistics, port operations, and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex logistical problems under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance standards.
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, or Business Administration from a recognized institution. Specialized certifications in maritime transport are highly regarded.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marine logistics, shipping operations, or port coordination is required. Proven experience working with international shipping lines in Angola is preferred.
