Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all offshore drilling, completion, and workover operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with offshore contractors, service providers, and engineering teams to execute drilling programs.
  • Monitor well control parameters and implement emergency response procedures when necessary.
  • Manage daily operational reporting, cost tracking, and material inventory on the rig.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and local regulations.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure offshore environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of drilling engineering, well control systems, and offshore safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Portuguese is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in drilling management software and data analysis tools.
  • Valid Well Control certification at the supervisor level.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of active experience in offshore drilling operations is required, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity on semi-submersibles or drillships.
